Mother got off to Wichita

Mother got off to Wichita Falls at 8:30pm last night. I think she was happy to be leaving. As I was driving out of the airport I realized I could not find my parking ticket. I stressed til I got to the booth. Frantically, I told the attendant that I lost my ticket and I had only been there for less than 30 minutes, man did I feel stupid. He was able to verify my information and waived me on. Whew! I bet mother has the ticket in her purse...Today is kind of a big day for me. Last week my company truck went into the shop because the A/C had gone kaput. I thought it was going to be a case of adding freeon(sp) to it. Wrong! The whole system has to be replaced at a cost of $1300 to the company. The truck is a 1991 Dodge Dakota and has 150K miles on it. So, today I get a slightly less used 1997 Astro Van as a company vehicle. Life is good...

Way to go Mom! You're moving up in the world. And isn't it nice when you encounter good customer service?

That "running out of gas" story was old 50 years ago. It will sound even worse, if it happens in your new van. Go with God my child.
