Well, crap! Today is Friday the 13th, and for me it is a typical one. I was running errands and had just left Costco, and was at the yield sign to get on the access road to I20 from Hulen St when a huge, enormous, gargantuan, big, black Ford Expedition ran into me. I got out to assess the damage to our vehicles. Her's was unscathed, mine has a big dent in the bumper. My neck is a bit sore. I am still going to do the triathlon. I will worry about my sore neck next week. My knees were a bit wobbly and my hands were shaking, but I am okay now. So now, I have to deal with getting the car to the repair place to get it fixed, making sure that I am being treated fairly by the insurance company and try desparately to not procrastinate in taking care of business. I spent about 20 minutes on the phone with her insurance company . I spoke with two people there. Sherry Strole took my intitial statement and Jenny Pobanz took the official recorded statement. Since Lisa Nal-Saigh had not called them yet to make a report, they had to call her and take her statement. They will contact me when they have succeeded in this.

Maybe it's time for a deffensive driving class?
yes! I believe it is time for all those other S.O.B's on the road.
Posted by: Rita (aka f-m-i-l) at September 13, 2002 09:01 PMWhat a pain! I can't believe you've been in another car accident; you certainly have bad luck with those. I'm glad you still think you can do the triathlon, but remember not to push yourself beyond your body's limits--better to stop halfway through having given it your best than to continue through pain and cause a lasting injury.
What was the woman's excuse? Forgot to put her brain in that morning?
GOOD LUCK! I can't wait to cheer you on.
Posted by: Elizabeth at September 13, 2002 11:47 PMMOMMY!!! You should come live with me so you could get around and not need a car. Just as long as you don't mind me and my wanton ways.
Posted by: mermu at September 14, 2002 08:01 PMHurry up and make an entry about the triathlon so I can congratulate you!
