It is funny how that works out, isn't it? One day, you are down in the dumps, the next you're not. One of the things that helped me get back to my old happy self is I finished a sewing project I had started about 4 months ago and had to abandon because my sewing maching conked out on me. It is a short set made of chenille. I got the idea in Hawaii. They were wanting $120 for similiar short sets and I thought ridiculous; I'll make one. So mine cost about $30 for pattern, material and notions.
Ride to Houston
Mother and I drove to Houston yesterday to spend Thanksgiving at Margaret's house. We were in the pickup truck. It rained most of the way. I worried that our stuff was going to get all wet and decided that if that was the case a shopping spree in Houston was in order to replace my ruined wet clothing. However, before we departed Arlington, I had secured my luggage in a plastic chest that was purchased for just such an event and placed mother's in a 55 gallon plastic leaf bag. Nothing got wet, so today I am going shopping to celebrate the occasion.
Gerry needs the computer, gotta go.
