100 years = 100 hours free admission

Friday night I was invited to go to the Dallas Museum of Art by a friend Jeffrey and his girlfriend Kris. We met at Jeff's house. There we had soup, salad and wine. Then we trekked over to Dallas. The museum is celebrating 100 years of service. So, to commemorate that feat, admission to all the exhibits was free 100 hours beginning on Wednesday. During this time they were opened 24 hours per day. We got there at around 7:30PM. We departed after midnight. We saw some very amazing things. I liked The Gilded Age Exhibit and Winston Churchill's Exhibit was nice as well. There was an area that showed jewelry from the 3rd and 4th centuries BC. I liked that too. Jeff and I work together. While there we ran into another person on our work crew, Pam. I never run into anyone I know in Dallas. It was nice that we did.

Snowing

It is snowing!

That exhibit sounds nice! I bet you did like the jewelry one, too--sounds made-to-order for you. And fun to be there late at night.

Snow! Jonathan was very excited on the first day of winter in December. He said, "Mummy, it's winter, now it's going to snow!" I had to explain to him that winter in Central Texas doesn't mean the same thing that it does elsewhere.

The museum sounds like fun! It would seem so surreal to be there so late at night though.

I'm extremely jealous of the snow. I was just telling one of my co-workers that it's been entirely too long since we've had a snow day.

It's snowed three times so far this year up here. I have to say it's a definite perk to living in the Northeast.

It snowed during my drive to work that morning! I'm just relieved that the roads weren't nasty, but I was just a little bit disappointed that it didn't snow for very long or stick to the ground. On any of my days of from work I'm ready for a white-out!!!!

The museum exhibits do sound nice - is that in Fair Park? There is supposed to be a new museum in Fort Worth that is very nice in addition to a good one that is already there - can't remember the name.

I didn't know that Ft. Worth was getting a new museum. The Kimbell Museum is the one that's been there for ages...it is a very nice museum.

Kimball - yes, now I remember! I'll have to look up the new one.
