Training

I am going to participate in the Capital 10K on Sunday. So, I decided to do a fitness jog today. I went 1.5 miles in 20 minutes 30 seconds and burned 386 calories. I am going to try to do the same route tomorrow. I am not making any promises though.

Don't burn yourself out before the weekend, Mom. You don't want to over train! Cross training is good...go swimming or ride a bike or nordic track or jump rope...but you should give your running muscles time to recouperate.

Echoing Jfer's comments re overtraining, as that's what I did in February, and my knees are still twinging every now and then. It sucks!

On a happier note, we are looking forward greatly to seeing you on Saturday. Did you know you're coming over here for dinner?

There you again making me feel like a bump on a log. Well, the weather is nicer here now so maybe I'll leave my leather chair behind for the great outdoors. Good luck!
