At last

We are having our afternoon break and I found a way to get to the internet from the school's computers. So, instead of joining the class for ice cream, I am in here posting to the blog. I hope this does not make me a nerd.

Judging Amy

I was channel surfing last night and one of the characters in this show was talking about her blog. Amy, the star, said she just did not get it. One of the other actors in the scene said that blogging is the true exercisement of the freedom of press. Well, Amy still didn't get it. Then a guy in which Amy's character was romantically interested came and complimented the blogger on her "great blog".

April Fools

I was sort of bummed that I was in school on April 1. It is difficult to play jokes on people you really do not know. One of the guys from my crew is attending the class with me. We came up with a gag. We paged all our co-workers with our bosses numbers. After we had done this I said that we need to call as well, or we may be suspected of this prank. So, Fidel (the co-worker) calls Doug to see what he wanted (he he). Seconds later he is saying April Fools and that it was all my idea! We had discussed telling him in a couple of hours. Next year the only person I am going to fool will be Fidel!!!!

That is so funny that you should even mention being bummed out April 1. I remember a time on this date 25 yrs. ago I was in jail for public tresspassing. I still remember that ride in the police car thinking the officers were just playing a joke, but the joke was all on me.

Hmmm...Theresa should tell us more about her time in the big house.

Mom, I think you have a long way to go before you encounter any danger of turning into a nerd. Ice cream's probably not on your diet anyway.

No April Fools jokes for me this year. Though the new owner of the company did announce that she was 5 months pregnant. I told her the timing of her announcement was suspect, but she assured me it wasn't a joke. And since she still says she's pregnant, I'm inclined to believe her.

My April Fools was that I told Joy (Dale's mum) there was an armadillo in our back garden. Not only but also Dale believed me! I hadn't expected to get Dale as well, that was a real bonus. I was quite proud of myself.
