Pint Low

Carter Blood Center called for me to come and part with some of my life's liquid. So I said, "ok." When my stats were taken my heart rate was 52 bpm, and my blood pressure was 104/62. There was another figure noted, which may have to do with iron and it read 13.4. In a few days I can log onto the carter website and obtain my cholesterol data. I got a free t-shirt for my effort, oh yeah and a package of oreo cookies and bottled water.

Good job! I haven't donated in quite a while. Maybe I'll be inspired now to drop by the local blood bank.

That's quite a takeaway. They don't want my blood any more--I lived too long in England and might be a carrier of mad cow disease (one of the most ridiculous regulations I've ever heard of--England still has their own blood donor program going, for heaven's sake!).

PPG faithfully has two blood drives a year. After reading of your donation, I'm kinda feeling guilty about not donating this last time around.
