My candidate for the handsomest reunionite showed up Saturday night with a date. Mid-event, she and I were talking and she confessed to me that she was his ex-wife and definitely no longer interested in him. She even wanted to "fix me up" with him.
The rest of the story on Wyatt: Mother, a few years after graduation, told me that Wyatt had married a national news person named Jessica Savitch. She was killed in a car wreck and mom said that Wyatt as a result had commited suicide. At the 20th reunion's friday night ice breaker, Kathleen and I were mingling, checking out name tags. When I noticed Wyatt's tag, I nudged Kathleen and told her to look-see. Kathleen knew the Wyatt story as well. We were surprised at the very least. We both walked up to him and asked him if he remembered us. He said yes and we laughed about our past. He mocked fought me the rest of the weekend. Before the 20th reunion, I had a bit of guilty feelings about the supposed demise of Wyatt. I was very relieved to find that mother had her facts wrong. Wyatt married his high school sweethart, Judy, and is still very much married to her.
I also got to chat with Herman this weekend. He and his wife live in Denver Co. They have 5 children. They own a bee removal company. He is a very nice person.

I recognized her name b/c she was a television reporter in Houston in the 1970s. Her husband's name was Donald Payne, and he apparently committed suicide before she died, not after (at least that's the way I read this site).
