I have just spent the better part of 30 minutes reading comments on the different blogs in the Karlhub. You can learn alot more by reading the comments. For example, in Theresa's entry, "His First Accident" a comment made by Leah indicated that she (Theresa) had lost weight. Hey! I read that entry, there was no mention about weight loss in that entry. I think that Theresa needs to post a new entry entitled, "I've lost some weight". And another thing! I am writing this post and I am uncertain about the spelling of the word weight. The spelling rule is i before e except after c. There are just too many exceptions to that rule, I think it should be thrown out of the book. Gotto go...when I went back into the karlhub a moment ago to get the link to Theresa's blog entry, I saw that Jen had posted a bunch of stuff to her journal. I need to make some comments.
Authors note: comments are so underrated, I love getting them, I hate making them and I rarely spend 30 minutes or so reading them.
Posted by Rita at November 16, 2003 05:13 PMYeah, that spelling rule is tricky. I believe the actual rule goes:
i before e except after c and in words like neighbor and weigh
I think there are even exceptions to the expanded rule, though I can't think of any examples
