I have not made an entry since last year! It is time to make one now.
Today I went to see a movie with Daniel and Joanna. We went to see "The House of Sand and Fog". I had read the book and I heard that the movie was done very well. Jennifer Connelly and Ben Kingsley were very good in their roles. I believe that this movie will be a contender for several Oscar categories. After the movie we grabbed a quick bite at The Rockfish. It is always a joy being in the company of Daniel and Joanna. Something quite cool is that Joanna may accompany me and Jennifer to Wichita Falls next weekend. Jen wants to see for herself that her grandmother is doing well. So, in Switzerland she made tentative plans for a visit.
Meredith and I surprized mother last Sunday at Mass. She was so tickled to see us. We made her sit in the middle so we could share her. We may have disturbed some of the folks in the pews around us. Mother kept asking questions and as everyone knows, her hearing is not good enough to hear whispers, so everyone around us was made privy to our conversation. It is amazing that she even had even a mild stroke. She is as spry as ever. She also assured me that she is diligent in taking her medicine. She admitted to being a bit scared. I think a little bit of fear in this case is a good thing.
