Waterford on the Green

The first address I had when I moved to the metroplex was at the address of the complex of the title of this entry. Donna Daniels very graciously opened her home to me and Jennifer for three weeks. A large portion of that complex burned to the ground tonight. Hearing the story on the news tonight brought back some memories. Actually, before moving in with Donna, I spent about 3 weeks at a Holliday Inn close to the office to where I was surplussed. Meredith moved in with the Burrells and Daniel ended up in Kansas with his dad. As difficult as that time was, when Meredith and Jennifer and I finally found our first home and I was offered an opportunity to move back to Wichita Falls, the resistance that I received from M and J convinced me to stay. As it turned out, the move for them and eventually Danny was a very positive one. They really liked going to Richland High School and all three graduated with honors. I am truly blessed.

Ah..memories. I seem to remember we were equally reluctant to move from WF as well. I don't remember the opportunity to return, though. I think we definetly had more opportunities growing up in Ft Worth than we would have in WF...it was a very good move.
