I got an interesting comment to one of my blogs. I have received many comments loaded with various links that I utilized the despam utility available on the notifying email. However, this one was kind of interesting. Also, there were no links included within. This comment from an unknown person to me actually addressed the entry to which it was commenting.

Nearly all the ones I get are ruses for nasty things like penis enlargement or viagra or some other such crap; I believe this is done as the more links there are to a web site from other pages, the higher rating it receives by the search engines. Anyway, I delete such comments immediately so that I'm not contributing to these lowlifes. I did get one a couple of months ago that linked to a site on smoking garden-variety salvia leaves (salvia is also known as sage); I thought it was funny (it was also on-topic as it was posted to an entry about my garden, where I mentioned the salvia plants I have growing for the butterflies and hummingbirds) and left it there.

I answered one of the questions, but I believe the other question was for Jennifer, since she was the one who posted the recipe. I too have been receiving quite a few e-mail notifications of comments being posted by unknowns. Phew...At least I haven't been subjected to the penis enlargement or viagra links...yet!
