My weekend began Thursday evening when I picked up Margaret from DFW airport. We went to Mac's Bar & Grill for dinner. We had a lovely meal and spent Thursday night at my house. We got up Friday morning lolled around the house for a bit Friday morning. I packed and we loaded the car and headed to Wichita Falls to visit mother. We made one detour to the additional 30% off sale merchandise at Dillards. We spent about 2 hours there and found some really fine bargains. Theresa called while we were shopping and said that we might want to wait to begin our journey to WF because of the stormy weather between FW and WF. Instead of following her advice, Margaret and I concluded our shopping and began our drive North. We experienced some heavy rain for a very short time, but made it to mother's house about 2 hours later. When we arrived, we made dinner plans for The Texas Roadhouse. Mother, Matthew, Patty Hardesty Margaret and I had a really nice time there. We informed our waiter of the upcoming birthday of Matthew and they brought a stool with a saddle mounted on it for Matthew to sit upon and it was announced to the restaurant that he was having a birthday. Saturday morning we got up and Kathleen, Felicia, Margaret and I went to Lucy Park for a bit of a run. It was very chilly, but we had a really nice time there. Margaret took several pictures with her digital camera and has promised to send some of them to me so I can post them on my webshots. Afterwards, we went to Sally's to get hair color and Kathleen, Felicia and I colored our hairs. We went back to the sale at Dillards and Margaret and Felicia made some purchases. Mother told us that dinner was to be at 5pm promptly and I did not want to miss it because she was making one of my favorite dishes, german sausage and sauerkraut. It was yummy.
Posted by Rita at May 2, 2004 07:47 PMWe did have a lot of fun; but, Rita, were you on low fuel? Or time? You did not include our cool wine find that no one is going to believe, Matthew's concert and 2nd bday celebration where we presented him his group gift. BTW, it was you, KK and Felicia that colored your respective hair (not I). Plus there was the surprise, confusion, annoyance at the garage door incident. Felicia's egg experience Sunday a.m. Man! I should have my own blog.
Posted by: blue-eyed blonde at May 3, 2004 11:49 AMYou've got that right, Margaret! Now, Rita, please fill us in on the surprise, confusion, annoyance and egg.
Posted by: Leah at May 3, 2004 06:55 PMYeah! And you didn't even mention how we (Mother, Rita, Felicia, Margaret, and I) created some wonderful sounds on our wine glasses. Margaret was the only one "out of tune." I think she lacks the ability to go in a circle.
Posted by: Kathleen at May 4, 2004 11:09 AMAnd Kathleen, you should transcribe your pleasant note to me postdated to May 2, 2004 or was that predated? The answer, I suppose depends on when you wrote said note. I think the envelope is landfill by now so looks like it will be some time before yours truly in inducted into the FBeye. Indicted by them is another story, and there are over 100,000 of them in the City that Faith Built.
I transcribed it and sent it to Jamie.
I'll let you know what he has to say about it.
I let the fellow who sat/stood next to me read it, too ... he is the choir director at Patty's church.
Hi there. I agree with your statement that you mention and thanks for give a informatics and valuable post for me and for others!
Maybe it is good if you try to find out by asking direct and visited the campus in question. So that everything will be much clearer.
