People who have disallowed comments and/or have made it so difficult to post a comment should not complain when one of their comments is edited.
Posted by Rita at January 10, 2006 09:06 PMWhat are you talking about?
Posted by: Leah at January 12, 2006 02:26 PMA good question. I have never made it difficult to post a comment and yet my comment of yesterday has disappeared, along with at least two others. None of the missing comments would have shed any light on the matter, Leah, so you're not missing much.
The mystery of what this Censorship thread is all about persists, but the censorship abounds.
Posted by: Pat at January 12, 2006 04:01 PMOk! Here is an explanation. I posted an entry. Meredith's comment to that entry aluded to information I did not want out there on the www. So, I edited it. She complained to me. A few days later I posted this entry. A few days after that, I was despamming the comments on my blog and failed to uncheck 3 legitimate comments. One was from Meredith. One was from Stepan. One was from Patrick. I realized my blunder before the transaction was complete and clicked on the stop button. Too late, they were gone. Since then I have been extra careful when despamming comments. Damn those spammers! I hope they all go to hell.
