I was sitting at the computer with Mother at my side. We were surfing and chatting. Mother has developed this very annoying habit of moving her wine glass in a figure 8 while she talks. It makes a bunch of noise that she cannot hear, but I can. The second time I brought her hand movements to her attention, I asked her if she would like me to get a ruler and rap her on her knuckles if she did it again. She laughed and said; NO! It would remind her of when she was taking piano lessons and the nun who was teaching her would rap her knuckles when she hit a wrong note(which, evidently happened alot.) Did anyone else know that Mother had taken piano lessons? I do not remember her ever sitting at the piano to play.

It seems that I have heard this story before. Every once in a while, Mother would bang out a boogie-woogie on our old upright piano.
