I wanted to share a link my boss sent to me. You enter your zip code and you can find the best prices for gas in your area. Here is the link. I used it yesterday, and while I still feel very screwed by the price I paid at the pump, the screwing doesn't feel as bad as it would have if I had purchased from my normal locale at 7 cents per gallon higher. Costco is where I normally buy gas...silly me, I thought they would be the cheapest.
Posted by Rita at May 9, 2006 08:54 PMThe MSN site doesn't work in my browser. But you can get similar information for some citites from GasBuddy.com. It seems that in Austin, all the inexpensive gas is out in the boonies or down South -- not worth the drive for me, even at $0.20/Gallon savings.
In my area of town, Costco actually has one of the lowest gas prices, but it's the same as at bunch of regular gas stations.
