I posted this quote on Facebook. When I heard it I realized the truthfulness of this quote. I looked up Mildred. She was a peace activist. She walked several times coast to coast of America in the name of peace. The only things she owned were the clothes on her back and the contents of her pockets.
There was also a story related to my search for this quote. A husband and wife's house burned down. Their kids were grown and gone and the couple were the only occupants of this huge house. When interviewed and sympathies were expressed to the wife, she said don't feel sorry for me. I will never have to clean out the attic or basement. I will never have to decide what to get rid of and what to keep...I feel FREE.
