Tom Welling & Eddie Cahill

I thought that these two fellas were the same person. I have been watching alot of Judging Amy. There is a character, Rob, who is a very young boyfriend of Amy. When I first saw him I decided it was the same person who played Rachel's boyfriend Tag (Tom Welling) in Friends. However, upon some research at imdb.com, I discover Rob (Eddie Cahill) is actually Clark Kent in Smallville. They are about the same age and both are listed as being from New York City. They are both very good looking. Eddie (I think) is 6'4" tall and wears a size 14 shoe.

A Stay Has Been Granted

It seems we have been granted a reprieve. The we of whom I speak is my work crew with SBC. The crew, C.O.E.I (central office equipment installation), was doomed to extinction at the end of this week. However, my boss’s boss called him today and said that the date has been pushed back. Glory hallelujah! I know it is going to happen eventually. I have seven transfers to other jobs in central offices and I hope before we go away, I am offered one of those jobs. The plan by management is to force adjust us to the NOC (Network Operations Center. ) If this happens, I would be sitting behind a computer for the rest of my SWB career. Also, it would mean a 30+ mile commute each way through heavy traffic per work day. Additionally, I will lose my 4-day work week. So please all readers of this entry say a prayer that the reprieve lasts until I decide to retire or am offered one of those transfers I mentioned. Thanks!

Hooked On Amy

I have spent a bit of time in Austin at Jennifer and Stepan's house. The first week, or it could have been the second week, I spent there, Jen had this routine where we would sit in the living room watching Judging Amy while she fed Magda, after which I would burp and enjoy her company (Magda, not Jen.) TNT television station runs two episodes back to back each day of Amy. So now, I have added this show to my season pass on TiVo. I have watched four episodes today. They do not disappoint. I really enjoy the show. It could be because of what I was doing when I first got interested in it.

Last weekend I was in Austin. Jennifer had fed her and went to her computer and left Magda in my charge. We were enjoying each others company. Magda likes to be up and about. Movement is her friend. So when one sits and tries to hold and chat with her, she complains. I had docked my iPod in Jen's sounddock. I have started to store some of my favorite tunes in my iPod and I began to dance to them with Magda. She was a bit fussy at first, but I kept dancing and sang along with some of the songs. Pretty soon I could tell that she was happy to be doing what we were doing. A little while later she was sound asleep. I gingerly sat on the couch and happily fell asleep with Magda softly snoring on my shoulder. It was so sweet.

Sideways

I went to see this movie today. I am in school at SBC's Center For Learning and the theatre at Grapevine Mills Mall is just down the street. It is one of the few theatres in the metroplex that is showing this movie. Sideways has been getting the highest marks from critics and movie-goers alike. It was very enjoyable. I recommend it to the whole family. Thomas Haden Church is a hunk and may become my new favorite male lead. Also he is a fellow Texan. I really think the men of our family will enjoy this movie as much as the women.
