Comments: Mother started a story

My money's on Pat.

I resent that. And anyway, I don't think BB guns even have firing pins. And if that part's wrong, the whole thing is probably wrong. And it wasn't the garage apartment, either, but the garage below. Best I can tell, this whole story is wrong except for that part where Pat did it.

Never had a gun..........

Pat never got his just desserts of having a child like himself to raise - BTW the assistant marksman visited us a year ago and they discussed this prank. (Elizabeth did have her moments, but she never dipped cats in paint, played detective for real or shot out windows. She was pretty good at opening windows in the middle of the night, though.)

That's fantastic that Daddy got fingered so quickly for this. Heh heh.

And thank you for your kind words re my childhood. I always felt it was gracious of me not to let you know about my opening windows in the middle of the night--you would just have worried. Better to save that stuff for later . . .

Pat, Is it possible that daddy told you he removed the firing pin to make you believe that your gun would not work?

No, I think he knew I was a little smarter than that. As I recall the type of BB gun I had, the end of the barrel twisted to load the BBs, and it could be removed. I suspect that's was was taken away - the gun was useless without it. Just as well, since another favorite pasttime was BB-gun fights. It's a wonder we are all still sighted.

That is hilarious! My thinking is that we should try to get Mother to remember at least one similar story about each of us. And, I think the story about Patrick getting on his motorcycle and leaving the Knights of Columbus picnic (I think that's how the story goes...) and then Daddy have to drive and pick him up is a good one, too!

Hey! I thought you said one story about each of us. I've had mine now, let's move on to someone else.
