Gee Rita, I had forgotten about the 1.5 delay at the airport. Ever notice how margaritas make the time fly?
Meredith was a perfect hostess and even invited us to return in the Fall! Which we plan to do.
We did meet so many people along the way starting at the airport with our great waitress..to the limo driver, Meredith and her friends, little Rita (she was 8 by the way); Josephine, and lest not forget the men on the bus especially the one with the gorgeous blue eyes...Remember...he was going to give me his best fare! And the man in the subway with a son named RitRat...or something like that.
Anyway, we all had a great time. New York was so much fun!
Thanks Rita and thanks again to Meredith. I did e-mail her and she said she had a great time as well.
the bridgeman's grandson from the subway was named riffraff...I love your comment.
Posted by me at February 10, 2008 11:09 PMRiffraff...RitRat...whatever the name...it was still a very strange name...and Grandpa was so interesting.....Meredith would be so good on writing that book about short stories on the NY subway.
